📜 Psalms 11:1-7 KJV
(1) To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
(2) For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
(3) If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
(4) The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
(5) The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
(6) Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
(7) For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
Please take some time to learn the some of the traditional lessons associated with the constellation Leo and its decans from my journal post called Leo, The Lion of Judah. It will help with understanding why certain scriptures can be recalled and remembered by the heavenly pictures. In Psalm ll we have the bird, the cup, and destruction of the wicked denoted in the picture of hydra. The LORD would of course be the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. While the traditional names are fixed in their meaning such as the Raven, my method of using the numerical star references is more flexible. It allows for the pictures to represent more than one specific idea. In this case, the Psalmist refuses to flee in fear before the taunts of the enemy like a bird to the mountains. Ravens are actually very common in the high Rocky Mountains. From here on, all the additional star references will be compared with this key lesson in Psalm 11.
This playlist is included to assist with a deeper understanding of the passages in this lesson.

The Signs of Leprosy in a House, and the Cleaning Thereof
🕯️Leprosy from a spiritual lesson points to a slow destructive sin. Here we find the word "fretting". The leprosy is in the house. Sometimes it can be cleaned out through extreme measures, and sometimes not. Building on the idea of foundations being destroyed in Psalm 11, the Hydra like enemy which here is mold points to fretting which the Psalmist will not do for he trusts in God. In the passage a bird (a turtledove or pigeon) is sacrificed and a bird, has water poured over it (the cup poured out) and is released when the house is cleaned.
📜 Leviticus 14:33-57 KJV
(33) And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, (34) When ye be come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put the plague of leprosy in a house of the land of your possession; (35) And he that owneth the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, It seemeth to me there is as it were a plague in the house: (36) Then the priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest go into it to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made unclean: and afterward the priest shall go in to see the house: (37) And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house with hollow strakes, greenish or reddish, which in sight are lower than the wall; (38) Then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days: (39) And the priest shall come again the seventh day, and shall look: and, behold, if the plague be spread in the walls of the house; (40) Then the priest shall command that they take away the stones in which the plague is, and they shall cast them into an unclean place without the city:(41) And he shall cause the house to be scraped within round about, and they shall pour out the dust that they scrape off without the city into an unclean place: (42) And they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other morter, and shall plaister the house. (43) And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after that he hath taken away the stones, and after he hath scraped the house, and after it is plaistered; (44) Then the priest shall come and look, and, behold, if the plague be spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy in the house: it is unclean. (45) And he shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the morter of the house; and he shall carry them forth out of the city into an unclean place. (46) Moreover he that goeth into the house all the while that it is shut up shall be unclean until the even. (47) And he that lieth in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eateth in the house shall wash his clothes.(48) And if the priest shall come in, and look upon it, and, behold, the plague hath not spread in the house, after the house was plaistered: then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed. (49) And he shall take to cleanse the house two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop: (50) And he shall kill the one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water: 🕯️ (51) And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times: (52) And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet: (53) But he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an atonement for the house: and it shall be clean. (54) This is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and scall, (55) And for the leprosy of a garment, and of a house, (56) And for a rising, and for a scab, and for a bright spot: (57) To teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean: this is the law of leprosy.

David Purchases Araunah's Threshing Floor, Where the Plague Ends
🕯️Building on the primary lesson in Psalm 11, we see God's wrath in this chapter against sin in the land. He puts David to a test. We find out in Chronicles dealing with this event that Satan tempts David to take a census. Unless commanded by God, a census was not to be taken because it was a sign of trusting in men and resources for war against enemies. God gives David 3 choices for punishment. He chooses to put himself into the hand of God rather than being forced to flee before the enemy. A plague breaks out in the land and David asks God to let the responsibility be on his house. God provides redemption on the threshing floor - a symbol of separation of the righteous from the wicked - of King Araunah of the Jebusites.
📜 2 Samuel 24:18-25 KJV
(18) And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Araunah the Jebusite. (19) And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as the LORD commanded. (20) And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground. (21) And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people. 🕯️(22) And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood. (23) All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD thy God accept thee. (24) And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. (25) And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.

Hope and Relief in God's Mercy
🕯️Building upon the primary themes from the lesson in Psalm 11, Jeremiah is being severely persecuted for proclaiming God's Word to the people that His punishment for their sins is soon to be experienced. They threw him into a well. Jeremiah identifies God's testing and declares his trust in the LORD and His mercy. He asks for vengeance upon enemies while at the same time declaring from his heart the sorrow and fearfulness of this experience.
📜 Lamentations 3:19-66 KJV
(1) Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall. (20) My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. (21) This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. (22) It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. (23) They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (24) The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. (25) The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. (26) It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. (27) It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. (28) He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him. (29) He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope. (30) He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach. (31) For the Lord will not cast off for ever: (32) But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies. (33) For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men. (34) To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth, (35) To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High, (36) To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not. (37) Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not? (38) Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
(39) Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins? (40) Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD. (41) Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens. (42) We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned. (43) Thou hast covered with anger, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied. (44) Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through. (45) Thou hast made us as the offscouring and refuse in the midst of the people. (46) All our enemies have opened their mouths against us. (47) Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction. (48) Mine eye runneth down with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people. 🕯️ (49) Mine eye trickleth down, and ceaseth not, without any intermission, (50) Till the LORD look down, and behold from heaven. (51) Mine eye affecteth mine heart because of all the daughters of my city. (52) Mine enemies chased me sore, like a bird, without cause. (53) They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone upon me. (54) Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off. (55) I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon. (56) Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry. (57) Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not. (58) O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life. (59) O LORD, thou hast seen my wrong: judge thou my cause. (60) Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations against me. (61) Thou hast heard their reproach, O LORD, and all their imaginations against me; (62) The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day. (63) Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their musick. (64) Render unto them a recompence, O LORD, according to the work of their hands. (65) Give them sorrow of heart, thy curse unto them. (66) Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the LORD.

False Friends - Caution in Taking Advice
🕯️Building on the primary lesson in Psalm 11, the focus here is on identifying those who are waiting to shoot at the upright in heart in practical matters: "friendship" and counsel.
📜 Sirach 37:1-31 KJVA
(1) Every friend saith, I am his friend also: but there is a friend, which is only a friend in name. (2) Is it not a grief unto death, when a companion and friend is turned to an enemy? (3) O wicked imagination, whence camest thou in to cover the earth with deceit? (4) There is a companion, which rejoiceth in the prosperity of a friend, but in the time of trouble will be against him. (5) There is a companion, which helpeth his friend for the belly, and taketh up the buckler against the enemy. (6) Forget not thy friend in thy mind, and be not unmindful of him in thy riches.
(7) Every counsellor extolleth counsel; but there is some that counselleth for himself. 🕯️(8) Beware of a counsellor, and know before what need he hath; for he will counsel for himself; lest he cast the lot upon thee, (9) And say unto thee, Thy way is good: and afterward he stand on the other side, to see what shall befall thee. (10) Consult not with one that suspecteth thee: and hide thy counsel from such as envy thee. (11) Neither consult with a woman touching her of whom she is jealous; neither with a coward in matters of war; nor with a merchant concerning exchange; nor with a buyer of selling; nor with an envious man of thankfulness; nor with an unmerciful man touching kindness; nor with the slothful for any work; nor with an hireling for a year of finishing work; nor with an idle servant of much business: hearken not unto these in any matter of counsel. (12) But be continually with a godly man, whom thou knowest to keep the commandments of the Lord, whose, mind is according to thy mind, and will sorrow with thee, if thou shalt miscarry. (13) And let the counsel of thine own heart stand: for there is no man more faithful unto thee than it. (14) For a man's mind is sometime wont to tell him more than seven watchmen, that sit above in an high tower. (15) And above all this pray to the most High, that he will direct thy way in truth.
(16) Let reason go before every enterprize, and counsel before every action. (17) The countenance is a sign of changing of the heart. (18) Four manner of things appear: good and evil, life and death: but the tongue ruleth over them continually. (19) There is one that is wise and teacheth many, and yet is unprofitable to himself. (20) There is one that sheweth wisdom in words, and is hated: he shall be destitute of all food. (21) For grace is not given, him from the Lord, because he is deprived of all wisdom. (22) Another is wise to himself; and the fruits of understanding are commendable in his mouth. (23) A wise man instructeth his people; and the fruits of his understanding fail not. (24) A wise man shall be filled with blessing; and all they that see him shall count him happy. (25) The days of the life of man may be numbered: but the days of Israel are innumerable. (26) A wise man shall inherit glory among his people, and his name shall be perpetual.
(27) My son, prove thy soul in thy life, and see what is evil for it, and give not that unto it. (28) For all things are not profitable for all men, neither hath every soul pleasure in every thing. (29) Be not unsatiable in any dainty thing, nor too greedy upon meats: (30) For excess of meats bringeth sickness, and surfeiting will turn into choler. (31) By surfeiting have many perished; but he that taketh heed prolongeth his life.

Another Miraculous Catch of Fish
🕯️Building on the lesson in Psalm 11 about how God tries our hearts, Peter is restored from denying Jesus and Jesus intentionally asks Peter 3 times "Do you love me?" Jesus performs the same miraculous catch of fish sign that he did when he first called Peter.
📜 John 21:1-25 KJV
(1) After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself. (2) There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. (3) Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. (4) But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. (5) Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. 🕯️ (6) And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. (7) Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. (8) And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. (9) As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. (10) Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught. (11) Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
(12) Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. (13) Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. (14) This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
(15) So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. (16) He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. (17) He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
(18) Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. (19) This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me. (20) Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? (21) Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? (22) Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. (23) Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? (24) This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true. (25) And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

The Firstborn Are Freed by the Levites
🕯️Building on Psalm 11 we see a focus on the foundations of redemption in Numbers 3, the redemption of the firstborn are established by God taking the Levites instead. There's an emphasis on God's love - the firstborn are His.
📜 Numbers 3:40-51 KJV
And the LORD said unto Moses, Number all the firstborn of the males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names. 🕯️(41) And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I am the LORD) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel. (42) And Moses numbered, as the LORD commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel. (43) And all the firstborn males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were twenty and two thousand two hundred and threescore and thirteen. (44) And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, (45) Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am the LORD. (46) And for those that are to be redeemed of the two hundred and threescore and thirteen of the firstborn of the children of Israel, which are more than the Levites; (47) Thou shalt even take five shekels apiece by the poll, after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them: (the shekel is twenty gerahs:) (48) And thou shalt give the money, wherewith the odd number of them is to be redeemed, unto Aaron and to his sons. (49) And Moses took the redemption money of them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites: (50) Of the firstborn of the children of Israel took he the money; a thousand three hundred and threescore and five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary: (51) And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed unto Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.

Jeroboam Sends His Wife, Disguised, to the Prophet Ahijah
🕯️Building on Psalm 11 lesson of God's punishment of evil doers but His countenance beholding the upright we find here that Jeroboam sends his wife disguised, thinking to deceive the prophet God sent to anoint him as king of Israel due to Solomon's rebellion. His son is dying. God takes the son for Himself but announces a terrible judgement for Jeroboam. Jeroboam destroyed the foundations in Israel by establishing competing temples of idolatry.
📜 1 Kings 14:1-20 KJV
At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick. (2) And Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself, that thou be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get thee to Shiloh: behold, there is Ahijah the prophet, which told me that I should be king over this people. (3) And take with thee ten loaves, and cracknels, and a cruse of honey, and go to him: he shall tell thee what shall become of the child. (4) And Jeroboam's wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. But Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his age. (5) And the LORD said unto Ahijah, Behold, the wife of Jeroboam cometh to ask a thing of thee for her son; for he is sick: thus and thus shalt thou say unto her: for it shall be, when she cometh in, that she shall feign herself to be another woman. (6) And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings. (7) Go, tell Jeroboam, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Forasmuch as I exalted thee from among the people, and made thee prince over my people Israel, (8) And rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in mine eyes; (9) But hast done evil above all that were before thee: for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast me behind thy back: (10) Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel, and will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as a man taketh away dung, till it be all gone. 🕯️ (11) Him that dieth of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat: for the LORD hath spoken it. (12) Arise thou therefore, get thee to thine own house: and when thy feet enter into the city, the child shall die. (13) And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him: for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him there is found some good thing toward the LORD God of Israel in the house of Jeroboam. (14) Moreover the LORD shall raise him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now. (15) For the LORD shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to anger. (16) And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin. (17) And Jeroboam's wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah: and when she came to the threshold of the door, the child died; (18) And they buried him; and all Israel mourned for him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by the hand of his servant Ahijah the prophet. (19) And the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he warred, and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel. (20) And the days which Jeroboam reigned were two and twenty years: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his son reigned in his stead.

The Fiery Furnace
🕯️Psalm 11 and Daniel 3🕯️ have a close connection. Daniel's friends put their trust in the LORD and didn't shrink back in the presence of Nebuchadnezzar's threats. In this case it's Nebuchadnezzar's anger which flares up and sends the righteous men to a fiery furnace. God tested the faith of these men and He didn't abandon them but entered the fire with them and saved them.
📜 Daniel 3:19-30 KJV
Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. (20) And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. (21) Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. (22) Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. (23) And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. (24) Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. (25) He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. (26) Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. (27) And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. 🕯️ (28) Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. (29) Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort. (30) Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.

(5) The same year were appointed two of the ancients of the people to be judges, such as the Lord spake of, that wickedness came from Babylon from ancient judges, who seemed to govern the people. (6) These kept much at Joacim's house: and all that had any suits in law came unto them.
(7) Now when the people departed away at noon, Susanna went into her husband's garden to walk. (8) And the two elders saw her going in every day, and walking; so that their lust was inflamed toward her. (9) And they perverted their own mind, and turned away their eyes, that they might not look unto heaven, nor remember just judgments. (10) And albeit they both were wounded with her love, yet durst not one shew another his grief. (11) For they were ashamed to declare their lust, that they desired to have to do with her. (12) Yet they watched diligently from day to day to see her.
(13) And the one said to the other, Let us now go home: for it is dinner time. (14) So when they were gone out, they parted the one from the other, and turning back again they came to the same place; and after that they had asked one another the cause, they acknowledged their lust: then appointed they a time both together, when they might find her alone.
(15) And it fell out, as they watched a fit time, she went in as before with two maids only, and she was desirous to wash herself in the garden: for it was hot. (16) And there was no body there save the two elders, that had hid themselves, and watched her. (17) Then she said to her maids, Bring me oil and washing balls, and shut the garden doors, that I may wash me. (18) And they did as she bade them, and shut the garden doors, and went out themselves at privy doors to fetch the things that she had commanded them: but they saw not the elders, because they were hid.
(19) Now when the maids were gone forth, the two elders rose up, and ran unto her, saying, (20) Behold, the garden doors are shut, that no man can see us, and we are in love with thee; therefore consent unto us, and lie with us. (21) If thou wilt not, we will bear witness against thee, that a young man was with thee: and therefore thou didst send away thy maids from thee. (22) Then Susanna sighed, and said, I am straitened on every side: for if I do this thing, it is death unto me: and if I do it not I cannot escape your hands. (23) It is better for me to fall into your hands, and not do it, than to sin in the sight of the Lord.
(24) With that Susanna cried with a loud voice: and the two elders cried out against her. (25) Then ran the one, and opened the garden door. (26) So when the servants of the house heard the cry in the garden, they rushed in at the privy door, to see what was done unto her. (27) But when the elders had declared their matter, the servants were greatly ashamed: for there was never such a report made of Susanna.
(28) And it came to pass the next day, when the people were assembled to her husband Joacim, the two elders came also full of mischievous imagination against Susanna to put her to death; (29) And said before the people, Send for Susanna, the daughter of Chelcias, Joacim's wife. And so they sent. (30) So she came with her father and mother, her children, and all her kindred.
(31) Now Susanna was a very delicate woman, and beauteous to behold. (32) And these wicked men commanded to uncover her face, (for she was covered) that they might be filled with her beauty. (33) Therefore her friends and all that saw her wept. (34) Then the two elders stood up in the midst of the people, and laid their hands upon her head. (35) And she weeping looked up toward heaven: for her heart trusted in the Lord. (36) And the elders said, As we walked in the garden alone, this woman came in with two maids, and shut the garden doors, and sent the maids away. (37) Then a young man, who there was hid, came unto her, and lay with her. (38) Then we that stood in a corner of the garden, seeing this wickedness, ran unto them. (39) And when we saw them together, the man we could not hold: for he was stronger than we, and opened the door, and leaped out. (40) But having taken this woman, we asked who the young man was, but she would not tell us: these things do we testify. (41) Then the assembly believed them as those that were the elders and judges of the people: so they condemned her to death.
(42) Then Susanna cried out with a loud voice, and said, O everlasting God, that knowest the secrets, and knowest all things before they be: (43) Thou knowest that they have borne false witness against me, and, behold, I must die; whereas I never did such things as these men have maliciously invented against me. (44) And the Lord heard her voice.
(45) Therefore when she was led to be put to death, the Lord raised up the holy spirit of a young youth whose name was Daniel: (46) Who cried with a loud voice, I am clear from the blood of this woman.
(47) Then all the people turned them toward him, and said, What mean these words that thou hast spoken? (48) So he standing in the midst of them said, Are ye such fools, ye sons of Israel, that without examination or knowledge of the truth ye have condemned a daughter of Israel? (49) Return again to the place of judgment: for they have borne false witness against her. (50) Wherefore all the people turned again in haste, and the elders said unto him, Come, sit down among us, and shew it us, seeing God hath given thee the honour of an elder. (51) Then said Daniel unto them, Put these two aside one far from another, and I will examine them.
(52) So when they were put asunder one from another, he called one of them, and said unto him, O thou that art waxen old in wickedness, now thy sins which thou hast committed aforetime are come to light. (53) For thou hast pronounced false judgment and hast condemned the innocent and hast let the guilty go free; albeit the Lord saith, The innocent and righteous shalt thou not slay. (54) Now then, if thou hast seen her, tell me, Under what tree sawest thou them companying together? Who answered, Under a mastick tree. (55) And Daniel said, Very well; thou hast lied against thine own head; for even now the angel of God hath received the sentence of God to cut thee in two.
(56) So he put him aside, and commanded to bring the other, and said unto him, O thou seed of Chanaan, and not of Juda, beauty hath deceived thee, and lust hath perverted thine heart. (57) Thus have ye dealt with the daughters of Israel, and they for fear companied with you: but the daughter of Juda would not abide your wickedness. (58) Now therefore tell me, Under what tree didst thou take them companying together? Who answered, Under an holm tree. (59) Then said Daniel unto him, Well; thou hast also lied against thine own head: for the angel of God waiteth with the sword to cut thee in two, that he may destroy you.
(60) With that all the assembly cried out with a loud voice, and praised God, who saveth them that trust in him. (61) And they arose against the two elders, for Daniel had convicted them of false witness by their own mouth: (62) And according to the law of Moses they did unto them in such sort as they maliciously intended to do to their neighbour: and they put them to death. Thus the innocent blood was saved the same day.
(63) Therefore Chelcias and his wife praised God for their daughter Susanna, with Joacim her husband, and all the kindred, because there was no dishonesty found in her. (64) From that day forth was Daniel had in great reputation in the sight of the people.

Paul Preaches in Athens
🕯️Acts 17 and Psalm 11🕯️The Apostle Paul, being pursued by Jews from city who seek to stir up trouble against him, goes to Athens. He is examined by the philosophers on Mars Hill where he shows that God doesn't dwell in temples made by human hands and that He isn't far from anyone. One only need search for Him. But all must repent for the overlooking of Gentile idolatry is over. Jesus has risen from the dead and will judge the world in righteousness.
📜 Acts 17:15-34 KJV
And they that conducted Paul brought him unto Athens: and receiving a commandment unto Silas and Timotheus for to come to him with all speed, they departed. (16) Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry. (17) Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him. (18) Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection. (19) And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is? (20) For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean. (21) (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)
(22) Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. (23) For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. (24) God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; (25) Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; (26) And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 🕯️(27) That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: (28) For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. (29) Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. (30) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: (31) Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. (32) And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter. (33) So Paul departed from among them. (34) Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

The Firstborn Are Slain
🕯️Exodus 12 and Psalm 11🕯️The foundations of redemption and worship, the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread are established. This changes the beginning of the year from fall - corresponding to the fall of man to spring corresponding to the resurrection (Acts 17). The Feast of Unleavened Bread and the command to remove all yeast from the house is similar in nature to the commands concerning leprosy of the home, where something which might be mold, is carefully removed and atonement made for the healing of the house. The Israelites who were prevented from leaving Egypt are now urged to get out immediately when God brings judgement upon all the firstborn of Egypt in contrast to God setting apart the firstborn of man and beast for Himself, substituting the Levites in their place for priest and servants in the Tabernacle.
📜 Exodus 12:29-42 KJV
And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. (30) And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. (31) And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said. (32) Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also. 🕯️(33) And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men. (34) And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders. (35) And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: (36) And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians. (37) And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children. (38) And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle. (39) And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual. (40) Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years. (41) And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt. (42) It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the LORD to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.

Unknown to Saul, Jonathan Defeats the Philistines
🕯️1 Samuel 14 and Psalm 11🕯️Jonathan and his armourbearer attack a Philistine garrison by themselves because they trusted in God, who did in accordance with all that was Jonathan's heart.
📜 1 Samuel 14:1-23 KJV
Now it came to pass upon a day, that Jonathan the son of Saul said unto the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over to the Philistines' garrison, that is on the other side. But he told not his father. (2) And Saul tarried in the uttermost part of Gibeah under a pomegranate tree which is in Migron: and the people that were with him were about six hundred men; (3) And Ahiah, the son of Ahitub, Ichabod's brother, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli, the LORD'S priest in Shiloh, wearing an ephod. And the people knew not that Jonathan was gone. (4) And between the passages, by which Jonathan sought to go over unto the Philistines' garrison, there was a sharp rock on the one side, and a sharp rock on the other side: and the name of the one was Bozez, and the name of the other Seneh. (5) The forefront of the one was situate northward over against Michmash, and the other southward over against Gibeah.
🕯️(6) And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few. (7) And his armourbearer said unto him, Do all that is in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I am with thee according to thy heart. (8) Then said Jonathan, Behold, we will pass over unto these men, and we will discover ourselves unto them. (9) If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them. (10) But if they say thus, Come up unto us; then we will go up: for the LORD hath delivered them into our hand: and this shall be a sign unto us. (11) And both of them discovered themselves unto the garrison of the Philistines: and the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come forth out of the holes where they had hid themselves. (12) And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armourbearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will shew you a thing. And Jonathan said unto his armourbearer, Come up after me: for the LORD hath delivered them into the hand of Israel. (13) And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet, and his armourbearer after him: and they fell before Jonathan; and his armourbearer slew after him. (14) And that first slaughter, which Jonathan and his armourbearer made, was about twenty men, within as it were an half acre of land, which a yoke of oxen might plow. (15) And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling.
(16) And the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked; and, behold, the multitude melted away, and they went on beating down one another. (17) Then said Saul unto the people that were with him, Number now, and see who is gone from us. And when they had numbered, behold, Jonathan and his armourbearer were not there. (18) And Saul said unto Ahiah, Bring hither the ark of God. For the ark of God was at that time with the children of Israel. (19) And it came to pass, while Saul talked unto the priest, that the noise that was in the host of the Philistines went on and increased: and Saul said unto the priest, Withdraw thine hand. (20) And Saul and all the people that were with him assembled themselves, and they came to the battle: and, behold, every man's sword was against his fellow, and there was a very great discomfiture. (21) Moreover the Hebrews that were with the Philistines before that time, which went up with them into the camp from the country round about, even they also turned to be with the Israelites that were with Saul and Jonathan. (22) Likewise all the men of Israel which had hid themselves in mount Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled, even they also followed hard after them in the battle. (23) So the LORD saved Israel that day: and the battle passed over unto Bethaven.

A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight. (2) When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. (3) The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. (4) Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. (5) The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. (6) The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness. 🕯️ (7) When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth. (8) The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead. (9) An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. (10) When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting. (11) By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. (12) He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace. (13) A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. (14) Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. (15) He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure. (16) A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches. (17) The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh. (18) The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. (19) As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. (20) They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight. (21) Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. (22) As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion. (23) The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath. (24) There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. (25) The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. (26) He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it. (27) He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him. (28) He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. (29) He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart. (30) The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Judith as a Guest of Holofernes
🕯️Really one needs to read the whole book of Judith because the entirety of it shows how Psalm 11 manifested when this woman rose up in faith to save the city when everyone else had given up.
In the playlist I provided a summary story of Judith which will help anyone unfamiliar with it.
📜 Judith 12:1-20 KJVA
Then he commanded to bring her in where his plate was set; and bade that they should prepare for her of his own meats, and that she should drink of his own wine. (2) And Judith said, I will not eat thereof, lest there be an offence: but provision shall be made for me of the things that I have brought. (3) Then Holofernes said unto her, If thy provision should fail, how should we give thee the like? for there be none with us of thy nation. (4) Then said Judith unto him As thy soul liveth, my lord, thine handmaid shall not spend those things that I have, before the Lord work by mine hand the things that he hath determined.
(5) Then the servants of Holofernes brought her into the tent, and she slept till midnight, and she arose when it was toward the morning watch, (6) And sent to Holofernes, saving, Let my lord now command that thine handmaid may go forth unto prayer. (7) Then Holofernes commanded his guard that they should not stay her: thus she abode in the camp three days, and went out in the night into the valley of Bethulia, and washed herself in a fountain of water by the camp. 🕯️ (8) And when she came out, she besought the Lord God of Israel to direct her way to the raising up of the children of her people. (9) So she came in clean, and remained in the tent, until she did eat her meat at evening.
(10) And in the fourth day Holofernes made a feast to his own servants only, and called none of the officers to the banquet. (11) Then said he to Bagoas the eunuch, who had charge over all that he had, Go now, and persuade this Hebrew woman which is with thee, that she come unto us, and eat and drink with us. (12) For, lo, it will be a shame for our person, if we shall let such a woman go, not having had her company; for if we draw her not unto us, she will laugh us to scorn.
(13) Then went Bagoas from the presence of Holofernes, and came to her, and he said, Let not this fair damsel fear to come to my lord, and to be honoured in his presence, and drink wine, and be merry with us and be made this day as one of the daughters of the Assyrians, which serve in the house of Nabuchodonosor. (14) Then said Judith unto him, Who am I now, that I should gainsay my lord? surely whatsoever pleaseth him I will do speedily, and it shall be my joy unto the day of my death. (15) So she arose, and decked herself with her apparel and all her woman's attire, and her maid went and laid soft skins on the ground for her over against Holofernes, which she had received of Bagoas far her daily use, that she might sit and eat upon them.
(16) Now when Judith came in and sat down, Holofernes his heart was ravished with her, and his mind was moved, and he desired greatly her company; for he waited a time to deceive her, from the day that he had seen her. (17) Then said Holofernes unto her, Drink now, and be merry with us. (18) So Judith said, I will drink now, my lord, because my life is magnified in me this day more than all the days since I was born. (19) Then she took and ate and drank before him what her maid had prepared. (20) And Holofernes took great delight in her, and drank more wine than he had drunk at any time in one day since he was born.

The Parable of the Sower
🕯️Luke 8 and Psalm 11🕯️ Jesus shows how the Father examines and tests the hearts of those who hear His Word. Do the fowls of the air steal the Word from our hearts immediately because the heart is hard? Does persecution and trial cause us to fall away or having heard the Word do we keep it?
📜 Luke 8:4-18 KJV
And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: (5) A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. (6) And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. (7) And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. (8) And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. (9) And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? (10) And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. (11) Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. (12) Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 🕯️(13) They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. (14) And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. (15) But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. (16) No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. (17) For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. (18) Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

Imagine having only one day with the Apostle Paul and to hear the gospel and the foundational teachings one last time, or perhaps for the first time for some. During the long teaching at midnight Eutychus fell into a deep sleep and fell from the window. God spared his life. Warnings not to allow one's self to fall asleep is a constant theme in the New Testament to the church. Thus the emphasis on the light of the upper room and Paul's departure at the break of daylight. Not falling asleep literally and figuratively is also a way God tries our hearts. How often we are admonished to watch and pray. This was the last time they would see Paul.
📜 Acts 20:6-12 KJV
And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days. (7) And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. (8) And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together. (9) And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead. (10) And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him. 🕯️ (11) When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed. (12) And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.

A Funeral Song for Tyrus (Tyre)
Strong’s Definitions H839 אֲשֻׁר ʼăshur, ash-oor'; contracted for H8391; the cedar tree or some other light elastic wood:—Ashurite.
🕯️Ezekiel 27 and Psalm 11🕯️This is a different lamentation from Jeremiah's in this thread. It's a funeral lamentation for Tyrus - the kingdom of Tyre, a kingdom built on trade and wealth throughout the world. The emphasis on using oaks of Bashan - Bashan is linked to the rebellion of the Watchers in Enoch. And to the box cedar (Ashurites) points to giants' wisdom upon which she built her beauty. The judgement of Psalm 11 is pronounced in this chapter.
📜 Ezekiel 27:1-36 KJV
The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, (2) Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus; (3) And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty. (4) Thy borders are in the midst of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty. (5) They have made all thy ship boards of fir trees of Senir: they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee. 🕯️(6) Of the oaks of Bashan have they made thine oars; the company of the Ashurites have made thy benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim. (7) Fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was that which thou spreadest forth to be thy sail; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was that which covered thee. (8) The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy mariners: thy wise men, O Tyrus, that were in thee, were thy pilots. (9) The ancients of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers: all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to occupy thy merchandise. (10) They of Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in thine army, thy men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in thee; they set forth thy comeliness. (11) The men of Arvad with thine army were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadims were in thy towers: they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they have made thy beauty perfect.
(12) Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in thy fairs. (13) Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were thy merchants: they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass in thy market. (14) They of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs with horses and horsemen and mules. (15) The men of Dedan were thy merchants; many isles were the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee for a present horns of ivory and ebony. (16) Syria was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they occupied in thy fairs with emeralds, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and agate. (17) Judah, and the land of Israel, they were thy merchants: they traded in thy market wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm. (18) Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, for the multitude of all riches; in the wine of Helbon, and white wool. (19) Dan also and Javan going to and fro occupied in thy fairs: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were in thy market. (20) Dedan was thy merchant in precious clothes for chariots. (21) Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they occupied with thee in lambs, and rams, and goats: in these were they thy merchants. (22) The merchants of Sheba and Raamah, they were thy merchants: they occupied in thy fairs with chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold. (23) Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Asshur, and Chilmad, were thy merchants. (24) These were thy merchants in all sorts of things, in blue clothes, and broidered work, and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords, and made of cedar, among thy merchandise.
(25) The ships of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy market: and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the midst of the seas. (26) Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the east wind hath broken thee in the midst of the seas. (27) Thy riches, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, and in all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin. (28) The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of thy pilots. (29) And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land; (30) And shall cause their voice to be heard against thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon their heads, they shall wallow themselves in the ashes: (31) And they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee with bitterness of heart and bitter wailing. (32) And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea? (33) When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou filledst many people; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of thy riches and of thy merchandise. (34) In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters thy merchandise and all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall. (35) All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance. (36) The merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt be any more.

Worry
Strong’s Definitions G839 αὔριον aúrion, ow'-ree-on; from a derivative of the same as G109 (meaning a breeze, i.e. the morning air); properly, fresh, i.e. (adverb with ellipsis of G2250) to-morrow:—(to-)morrow, next day.
🕯️Matthew 6 and Psalm 11🕯️Here we have another way God tests our hearts as to whether we trust: worry about tomorrow. God provides for all men, and our lives are often compared to grass. Here Jesus says if he provides for birds and clothes grass with a glory beyond Solomon, He will certainly provide for us.
📜 Matthew 6:25-34 KJV
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? (26) Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? (27) Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? (28) And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: (29) And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 🕯️(30) Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? (31) Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (32) (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. (33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 🕯️ (34) Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

David Describes the Citizens of Zion
🕯️Psalm 15 and Psalm 11🕯️Psalm 11 speaks of the LORD in His temple and His eyes beholding and trying the hearts of everyone. In Psalm 15 we read of the character of those who the LORD will cause to abide with Him in heaven in His tabernacle. Matthew 6 , lies in the middle of the Sermon on the Mount and Jesus is explaining the kingdom of heaven from chapters 5-7 where these characteristics are expounded upon.
📜 Psalms 15:1-5 KJV
(1) A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
(2) He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
(3) He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
(4) In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
(5) He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

True Riches
Strong’s Definitions G2087 ἕτερος héteros, het'-er-os; of uncertain affinity; (an-, the) other or different:—altered, else, next (day), one, (an-)other, some, strange.
🕯️Matthew 6 and Psalm 11🕯️Continuing in Matthew 6 in the Sermon on the Mount, God tries the loyalty of the heart towards Himself. His righteous eyes examine where our eyes and our treasures are focused. We can't serve two masters. Compare this passage with Tyre (Ezekiel 27 above) which was so extremely wealthy due to domination of world trade. He knows that there's evil to face each day in this world's economy. We must trust and have faith and seek His kingdom and His righteousness. Everything we need will be added to us. Keep the earlier passage from Matthew 6 in mind. While it comes second to this passage in scripture, for this lesson it is coming behind, to give perspective: Because we are not to worry, God will take care of us, we can safely keep our treasure focused in heaven.
📜 Matthew 6:19-24 KJV
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: (20) But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: (21) For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (22) The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. (23) But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 🕯️ (24) No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
