45 Leonis
This Bible study begins with the star name 45 Leonis and progresses through its additional star names like a treasure map through the Bible, resulting in finding the hidden treasure: a complete Bible lesson. As we move through the thread of Bible passages, instead of using cross references like most Bible studies do, we will be comparing each new passage back to our cornerstone scripture. In this case, the cornerstone passage is Psalm 45 representing the primary name of the star 45 Leonis.

The Riddle of the Sphinx is the mystery of where does time begin and where does it end? Our Lord Jesus makes this clear, when He declares in Revelation 22:13 (KJV) "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." The Sphinx was the picture of a man's head and the body of the lion. This marked the beginning and ending of time. In Egypt, this is the season of fall - the fall of man. The fall of man marked the beginning of what we experience as time. But at this point we received a wonderful promise known as the protoevangelium:

In Psalm ll we have the bird, the cup, and destruction of the wicked denoted in the picture of hydra. The LORD would of course be the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. While the traditional names are fixed in their meaning such as the Raven, my method of using the numerical star references is more flexible. It allows for the pictures to represent more than one specific idea. In this case, the Psalmist refuses to flee in fear before the taunts of the enemy like a bird to the mountains. Ravens are actually very common in the high Rocky Mountains.
